Frequently asked questions
How do I calculate a discount manually?
Multiply original price by discount %, divide by 100 to get the saving, subtract from original. 30% off $80 → saving = $24, final = $56.
How do I find the original price?
Divide the sale price by (1 − discount / 100). $56 after 30% off → original was $80.
How do I calculate a double discount?
Apply each discount in sequence, not by adding them. 20% then 10% on $100 → $80 then $72 = 28% total, not 30%.
Does this work for VAT?
To remove tax use percentage decrease. To add tax use percentage increase.
Is 50% off the same as buy-one-get-one-free?
Yes — in both cases you pay one full price for two items.
